All-MWC Women's Soccer Team
GRINNELL, Iowa – The All-Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Team had a familiar theme to it in 2025.
Â
Three of Grinnell College's four selections to the squad have been on the squad in the past. Those players are
Keiko Smith '26,
Sarah Travis '27 and
Peyton Dixon '27. Making her debut on the squad is
Amelia Dueñas '26.
Â
The Pioneers' selection total marks the third time in the last four years they have put four or more players on the squad.
Â
Smith, Travis and Dueñas were named to the All-MWC second team as field players, while Dixon made the second team at the goalkeeper spot.
Â
Smith emerged from an injury-riddled career with a stellar final season, ranking eighth in the league in assists with three and 10
th in both shots (2.38 per match) and shots on goal (1.25 per outing). She was Grinnell's leader in points (six), shots (28) and assists (four).
Â
Travis proved herself as one of the top defenders in the MWC, anchoring a Pioneer defense that gave up just 1.06 goals per game and had eight shutouts.
Â
Dueñas also contributed in a big way for the Pioneers on both sides of the field and was among the team's leaders in goals and assists.
Â
Dixon's efforts at keeper were again noteworthy as she climbs the charts as one of GC's all-time bests at that position. She posted a 1.07 goals against average, .792 saves percentage and had seven shutouts.
Â
Lake Forest College won three of the major awards with Izzy DeStefano (Offensive Player of the Year), Maddie Vasquez (Newcomer of the Year) and T.R. Bel/assistant coaches (Coaching Staff of the Year). Avery Parks of Monmouth College was the Defensive Player of the Year.
