GRINNELL, Iowa – After enjoying a monstrous week at the plate, Grinnell College's
Mac McCain '25 has been named the Midwest Conference Baseball Position Player of the Week.
McCain, a second baseman from Woodinville, Wash. (Woodinville), swung a hot bat in five games during the week. He hit .700 by going 14-of-20 with 16 RBIs, five homers and eight runs scored while boasting a 1.450 slugging percentage and .682 on-base percentage. McCain shattered multiple school records in that span and is now the Pioneers' career leader for at-bats with 555, runs scored with 128 and hits with 207. He is second in doubles with 45 and sixth in homers with 19.
The MWC Pitcher of the Week was Charlie Lardi of Illinois College.
