GRINNELL, Iowa - Needing a victory Sunday afternoon to keep in contention for the Midwest Conference Tournament, the Grinnell College baseball team came through.

The Pioneers rallied from a 3-0 deficit to dispose of Ripon College 7-4 at Pioneer Park, securing the series victory in the process.

Augie Ros '25 was stellar in pitching relief for Grinnell, scattering six hits and fanning one in 4.1 innings to get the victory. Connor Goodson '26 slid over from first base to close out the game on the mound, earning the save.

Trailing 3-0 entering the bottom of the third, the Pioneers put up three runs on an RBI double to left-center by Stuart Cash '27, an RBI single to right by Crawford and an error.

Ripon (7-9 MWC, 14-20 overall) got a run in the fourth, but the Pioneers responded with three in the bottom of the frame on Nikolas Ruden's '26 three-run pinch hit homer to left-center. Grinnell got its final run in the seventh on Crawford's solo homer to left.

The contest marked Mac McCain's '25 146th career contest at Grinnell, making him the solo leader in that category. Grinnell added to its school season record totals for runs (323), RBIs (286) and total bases (639).
