GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's baseball team was picked to be the runner-up in the Midwest Conference this season in balloting of league coaches.
 
The Pioneers received one first-place vote and 40 points and sit only behind Beloit College, which collected six top votes and 48 points.
 
Monmouth College was selected third with 29 points, while Illinois College and Lawrence University tied for fourth with 28. Illinois College received the other first-place vote.
