GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's
Zach Rosen '26 has been named the Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Performer of the Week.
Rosen, a guard from Deerfield, Ill. (Rochelle Zell Jewish High School), propelled Grinnell to its first MWC championship in 17 years with an amazing two-game stretch in which he averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. He was a combined 13-of-23 from the floor and 7-of-14 from the 3-point line as the Pioneers tied their school records for overall and conference wins in a season with 20 and 15, respectively. He was especially amazing in the title-clinching victory at Cornell College, scoring 26 points on 6-of-10 shooting from 3-point range.
Laney Havlovitz of Ripon was named MWC Women's Performer of the Week.
