All-MWC Women's Basketball Team

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's Ava Wu '29, who enjoyed a spectacular collegiate debut season, has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Newcomer of the Year.
 
Wu is the second GC player to earn Newcomer of the Year honors, joining Erin Lillis who did so in 2022.
 
Wu ranked fifth in MWC play in 3-pointers per game with 1.8 and was 13^th in scoring at 9.9 points per game. Overall, she averaged 8.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steal per game.
 
Other individual league awards went to Knox College's Brie Medina (Player of the Year) and Ripon College's Laney Havlovitz (Defensive Player of the Year) and Lauren Busalacchi/Staff (Coaching Staff of the Year).
