Grinnell gets off to strong start at Rose-Hulman meet

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Grinnell College's men's golf team kicked off the 2026 spring portion of its season Saturday and sits in 10th place at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate tourney after the opening day of action.

Grinnell fired a score of 22-over-par 306 at Terre Haute Country Club and are just six strokes out of ninth place. The University of Dubuque leads the meet, hosted by Rose-Hulman, at 278.

Spencer Moody '29 was Grinnell's top shooter with a 4-over-par 75, while Everett Williams '29 added a 76. Other Pioneers were Josh Udelson '29 with a 77, Roger Smith '28 at 78 and Max Shin '29 at 79.

Two players lead the pack with 67s.

The meet continues Sunday.
