Pioneer women's golf team off to strong start at WashU meet

Results

FARMINGTON, Mo. - Grinnell College kicked off the spring portion of its 2026 women's golf season by grabbing fourth place after the opening day of the WashU Spring Invite.


The 19th-ranked Pioneers shot a 312 at Crown Point Golf Club and trail third-place University of Wisconsin-Stout by four strokes in the 15-team field. The leader is Illinois Wesleyan at 298.

Amy Nguyen '26 and Vidushi Keni '26 were Grinnell's top shooters, each posting 4-over-par 76. They are tied for ninth among 82 golfers.

Kavya Keshav '26 and Waverly Yang '28 are next in line for Grinnell with 80s and Saya Geisendorfer '27 shot an 82. 

Nora Cerroni of Illinois Wesleyan is the individual leader at 69.

The meet continues Monday.
