GRINNELL, Iowa – After leading the Grinnell College men's golf team to a school-record performance, Spencer Moody '29 has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Men's Golfer of the Week.
 

Moody, from Vancouver, Wash. (Mountain View), helped the Pioneers shatter a 61-year-old school record at the Wartburg Spring Invite over the weekend.
 

Moody fired a 2-over-par 146 at the event to place eighth in a field of 96 golfers, including a 2-under round of 70 on the opening day. Grinnell was third in the 17-team meet with a 594, breaking the 36-hole school record of 596 set in 1964 and again in 1965.
