GRINNELL Iowa – After a sensational record-tying weekend, Grinnell College's Stuart Cash '27 has been named the Midwest Conference Baseball Position Player of the Week.
 
Cash, a third baseman from Mount View, Calif. (Los Altos), hit the trifecta by belting homers in three consecutive at-bats in a 17-5 victory over Beloit College Saturday. Cash tied a school record for homers in a game with three and also had 13 total bases, which ranks third in program history. Grinnell posted its first-ever regular-season sweep of Beloit while remaining in the MWC lead with a 10-2 mark.
 
For the week, Cash hit .571 by going 8-of-14 with three homers, two doubles, eight RBIs and six runs scored. He had a 1.357 slugging percentage and .600 on-base percentage while also going 6-of-6 in stolen bases.
