GC women's golf team cruises to team title at Wartburg Spring Invite

WAVERLY, Iowa - Grinnell College's women's golfers finished up the regular season in style Sunday, posting their sixth-best one-day round with a 296 on its way to winning the Wartburg Spring Invite.


Grinnell posted a total of 599 over two days, a score that ranks sixth in program history for 36 holes. The Pioneers finished 10 shots ahead of runner-up University of Wisconsin-Stout in the 10-team meet.

Vidushi Keni '26 tied for the individual title with a 145, shooting an even-par 72 on Sunday with the aid of three birdies. Kavya Keshav '26 tied for fourth in the 69-golfer field with a 147 after shooting even-par 72 on the final day with the help of two birdies.

Amy Nguyen '26 improved six strokes Sunday with a 74 for an overall total of 154, good for an 11th-place tie. She had two birdies on Sunday. Saya Geisendorfer '27, who shot 78 on the final day with the help of one birdie, tied for 14th with a 155 while Waverly Yang '28 had a 79 for an overall total of 157.
