Grinnell women remain 15th after Day 3 of NCAA D-III Championships

PALM DESERT, Calif. - Grinnell College's women's golf team remained in 15th place after Day 3 of the NCAA Division III Championships Thursday with a round of 318.


The Pioneers are sitting at a three-day score of 933 at Desert Willow Golf Resort, eight shots behind 14th-place University of Dubuque.

Vidushi Keni '26 led Grinnell on Thursday with a 3-over-par round of 75, which included an incredible back nine in which she birdied five of the nine holes. She recorded six birdies overall.

Waverly Yang '28 added an 80, Kavya Keshav '26 came in at 81 and Saya Geisendorfer '27 had an 82. All three had one birdie apiece. Amy Nguyen '26, who carded an 85, posted three birdies.

On the overall chart, Keni moved up five spots to 34th place with a three-day score of 225. Keshav is 64th with a score of 235, Geisendorfer is 71st at 238 and Yang is in 72nd with a 240. Nguyen is 76th with a score of 244.

Emma Wong of Carnegie Mellon is the overall leader with a 212 and Emory is first in the team standings at 870.

The meet concludes on Friday.
