Grinnell College Athletics

Hailey Speck ’15, from Beaverton, Ore. (Southridge), became Grinnell’s first individual Midwest Conference women’s golf champion since 2001 after posting an incredible rally.
 
Speck came back from eight shots down after the first day and four back the second day to win with the three-day event with a total score of 266, beating the runner-up by a stroke. Her performance guided the Pioneers to the MWC team title – their second in as many years - and the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Division III National Championships next May.
