Grinnell's Isaiah Tyree '15 was recently named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division III All-North Region first team.

Tyree, a goal keeper from Rachos De Taos, N.M. (Taos), set an NCAA D-III save percentage record this season with a mark of .959. His success rate bettered the previous D-III record of .955 by Nathan DuBois of Loras College in 2007, and ranks second all-time among all divisions.

Not only did Tyree lead the nation this season in save percentage, he also was tops in goals against average at .218. The Pioneers also led the nation in team save percentage at .916.

With Tyree’s help, Grinnell set or tied five MWC records. Besides Tyree’s marks in goals against average and save percentage, the Pioneers established new league records in goals allowed with eight and team goals against average at 0.44, with the latter mark ranking fourth nationally. Grinnell tied the MWC record for shutouts in a season with 11.
