Grinnell College's Sidney Litke '19 has been named the first Midwest Conference Softball Player of the Week for the 2017 season.
 
Litke, a right fielder from Madison, Wis. (George Parker), got her campaign off to a solid start by hitting .333 in two games against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams.
 
She belted an RBI double in a 2-1 loss to Macalester College and followed with a double in a 7-0 setback to Gustavus Adolphus, a team receiving votes for the NCAA Division III national rankings. Litke also played errorless ball in the two games.
