Sam LaMotte ’20, a right-handed pitcher from Gurnee, Ill. (Warren Township), continued his impressive first season with the Pioneers, scattering nine hits and fanning two while earning the win in a 4-2 decision over the University of Chicago Saturday. He worked six innings in the seven-inning affair and improved to 4-2 on the season. For the season, LaMotte sports a measly 2.40 ERA in 56-1/3 innings pitched.
