Grinnell College’s Lily Hamilton ’19 has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week.
Hamilton, from Grinnell, Iowa (Grinnell), enjoyed a perfect weekend – literally – while leading the Pioneers to three shutout victories to wrap up MWC play. Hamilton did not surrender a game all weekend, going a combined 52-0 between singles and doubles action. She rolled to 6-0, 6-0 singles wins over Illinois College, Knox College and Monmouth College foes and teamed with Sara Amano ’22 to win 8-0 twice.
Hamilton, a two-time MWC individual champ, is 9-6 in singles play and 11-3 with Amano in doubles. Hamilton’s efforts helped Grinnell post an 8-1 mark in the MWC and 9-2 record overall.
