Agne Lukoseviciute '21, from Darien, Ill. (Hinsdale South), has been named the Midwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Performer of the Week honor for field events.
Lukoseviciute picked up where she had left off from the indoor season, recording a dominating performance at the Emory Classic in Atlanta. Lukoseviciute crushed her own school record in the hammer throw while outdoing 41 other throwers to win the event with a toss of 163-3, which ranks 10th nationally and first in the MWC this season. That effort easily beat her previous school mark of 149-8, set last year.
But Lukoseviciute wasn't done there. She added fourth-place finishes in the shot put and discus, going 39-10 ½ in the former and 125-5 in the latter. The shot put performance is second-best in school history. She ranks second in the league in both events.
