Grinnell College's Ioanna Giannakou '24 has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Performer of the Week.
 
Grinnell's No. 1 women's player, from Kalamaria, Greece/Anatolia College, is off to a perfect start in her collegiate career with a 4-0 mark at the top doubles spot with Sabrina Tang '22 and 3-0 record in singles. This past weekend, she and Tang blanked their foes from Monmouth College and Illinois College 8-0.
 
She also earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory in singles over Monmouth as the Pioneers improved to 4-0 both in the MWC South Division and overall while clinching the divisional regular-season title.
