Grinnell College Athletics

For the second time this season, Grinnell College's Sean Colson '26 has been voted the Midwest Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.
 
Colson, from Silver Spring, Md. (Northwood), was impressive in swimming to three victories Monday against Connecticut College, a squad ranked eighth in the Northeast-North Region. Colson swam the third-fasted 100-yard backstroke time in program history with a winning time of 51.13, and added a victory in the 200 freestyle in 1:43.83. That time ranks ninth in Grinnell history. Both his 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle clockings are tops in the MWC this season. Colson was also on the victorious 200 freestyle relay team at the meet in Naples, Fla., with a time of 1:26.36.
 
This marks the fourth time this season a Grinnell swimmer has won the honor.
