“Despite losing our first Midwest Conference South Division match in several years, I'm extremely pleased with our performance against Lake Forest considering we were missing two of the top players in our singles lineup,” said Grinnell coach
Andy Hamilton. “To come away with two doubles points against Lake Forest and Carroll with a new doubles team of Laura and Catherine and the regular No. 2 doubles team of Shirlene and Clo playing at 1 is a good sign we're coming along well in doubles.”
Grinnell is now 0-1 in the Midwest Conference South Division and 2-3 in all matches. Lake Forest moved to 3-0 in the division and 9-1 overall, while Carroll is 5-2 overall.
Grinnell has matches with Illinois College, Monmouth College and Knox College on Sunday.
