MWC favorite edges Grinnell men's soccer team

Box Score WAUKESHA, Wis. – Preseason Midwest Conference favorite Carroll University earned a 2-0 men's soccer win over Grinnell College Sunday afternoon.

The hosts got a goal in the 12th minute by Nikolai Miskov for a 1-0 halftime lead and scored again in the 59th minute on a goal by Neil Zoglman.

Carroll won the shots battle 12-5, with Grinnell getting three shots from Joseph Brown '15 and one each from Omeed Kashef '14 and Victor Ghazal '16.

Isaiah Tyree '15 earned three saves at keeper for the Pioneers, who fell to 1-4-1 overall and 0-2 in the MWC. Carroll moved to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the league

Grinnell returns to the home pitch this coming Saturday when Illinois College visits. Action at Springer Field begins at 1:30 p.m.
