Box Score EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The Grinnell College softball team lost a 9-1 decision to St. Norbert College Friday at the Midwest Conference Crossover.

Grinnell managed two hits in the game, singles by Alyssa Bean '16 and Robin Campbell '16.

St. Norbert got out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first before the Pioneers responded with a run in the top of the second. Bean led off with a single and Jen Fulton '15 walked. After a fielder's choice, Campbell delivered an RBI single.

St. Norbert tallied two runs in the bottom of the second and five in the third for a 9-1 edge.

Fulton was the pitcher of record for Grinnell. She scattered six hits and struck out four in two innings.

The Pioneers are now 0-15 overall and 0-1 in the MWC, while St. Norbert moved to 9-9 and 1-1 in the league.

Grinnell is slated to play Carroll University and Lawrence University on Saturday.
