Grinnell puts 3 players on 2026 All-Midwest Conference Softball Team

Schultz is 1st-Teamer, while Harcus and Marquez earn 2nd-Team spots

All-MWC Softball Team

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's Lindsey Schultz '27 has earned All-Midwest Conference first-team honors in softball, while Meghan Harcus '29 and Julia Marquez '29 were second-team selections.

Schultz was named to the elite team at an outfield spot, Harcus made the second team as a pitcher and Marquez as a utility player.

Schultz and Marquez were tied for the lead in MWC games in the triples department with two apiece. Schultz posted a .327 batting average in the MWC with two doubles, seven RBIs and 10 runs scored while never striking out.

Marquez hit at a .412 clip in league play with two doubles, six RBIs and seven runs scored. She had a team-best .588 slugging percentage and sported a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 13 chances.

Harcus ranked second in league play in strikeouts with 34 and sixth in innings pitched at 41.2. She had a 4.20 ERA and won two games while holding hitters to a .293 batting average and 1.67 WHIP.

Three schools had individuals claim MWC individual honors. Illinois College's Jordan Cloos was named Pitcher of the Year, Kaia Mismash of Lake Forest College earned Position Player of the Year honors and Ripon College's Peyton Vandeloo was named Newcomer of the Year. Ripon College's staff, led by head coach Emilia Jackson, earned Coaching Staff of the Year accolades.
