GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's softball squad has captured Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Team Academic honors for the 2026 season, posting the 17th-best GPA in all of NCAA Division III.

The award is given to programs that have a 3.00 or better combined grade point average. Grinnell accumulated a team GPA of 3.707.

The Pioneers also had 16 players named NCAA D-III Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors for posting GPAs of 3.5 or higher in 2025-26. Those players were Anne Becker '26, Bella Nesbeth '26, Nicolette Parrott '26, Emma Trani '26, Elyse Pender '27, Lindsey Schultz '27, Kala Bisterfeldt '28, Kayla O'Malley '28, Elise Strohm '28, Emily Gonzalez '29, Meghan Harcus '29, Sophia Henao-Piña '29, Julia Marquez '29, Zoë Salazar '29, Gabriella Simon '29 and Emma Skibbie '29. Pender has won the award three times, while Bisterfeldt, Nesbeth, O'Malley, Parrott and Strohm and two-time honorees.
