DE PERE, Wis. – The Grinnell College men's basketball team will take aim at its first Midwest Conference Tournament title since 2001 when the Pioneers compete in the four-team event on the campus of St. Norbert College this weekend.

Grinnell earned the second seed and will face third-seeded Ripon College at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Top seed and fifth-ranked St. Norbert College entertains fourth-seeded Carroll University that night, and the winners will meet for the championship at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Grinnell is 18-5 overall, tied for the second-most wins in school history, and 13-5 in the MWC. The Pioneers split games with Ripon this season, losing 126-99 on the Red Hawks' floor on Jan. 4 and avenging that setback with a 110-102 win in Grinnell three weeks later.
