Box ScoreGRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College women's tennis team wrapped up Midwest Conference regular-season action with a 9-1 league mark after blanking Beloit College 9-0 on Sunday.
Although Grinnell had the same league record as two other teams, the Pioneers finished second in the standings via a tie-breaker.
Grinnell's singles winners were
Judith Fan (3-6, 6-2, 10-6),
Virginia Purcell (6-3, 7-6),
Megan Jans (6-0, 6-1),
Lily Hamilton (6-0, 6-2),
Anushka Joshi (6-0, 6-0) and
Minna Montgomery (6-0, 6-0).
In doubles, wins came from the teams of Fan-
Amelia Cogan (8-3), Jans-Hamilton (8-2) and
Sydney Banach-
Julia Rumley (9-7).
Grinnell, 10-3 overall, is at the Midwest Conference Singles and Doubles Tournament next weekend.
