Hobart 5, Grinnell 4ORLANDO, Fla. –Grinnell College's men's tennis squad lost a pair of thrillers Tuesday, falling by 5-4 scores to both the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Hobart.

In the match with UW-La Crosse, the Pioneers got singles wins from
Elliott Czarnecki '15 at No. 1 (3-6, 6-2, 10-3),
Tracy Johnson '16 at No. 5 (6-1, 7-6) and
Charlie Wilhelm '15 at No. 6 (6-1, 6-2).

Tommy Pitcher '17 won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Grinnell won two of three doubles matches against Hobart, as
Cole Miller '17 and Johnson posted an 8-2 decision at the second spot and
Sam Catanzaro '16 and
Will Hamilton '17 won 8-6 at No. 3.

In singles,
C.J. Ray '15 won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and Catanzaro earned a 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 6.

Grinnell, 11-9 on the season, takes on Hope and Concordia (Wis.) on Thursday.
