GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College opened Midwest Conference women's tennis play with a pair of 9-0 victories Saturday at 10th Avenue Courts.
 
Singles winners in the victory over Knox were Judith Fan '19, Virginia Purcell '17, Megan Jans '19, Amelia Cogan '19, Lily Hamilton '19 and Anushka Joshi '18.
 
Winning doubles teams were Fan-Cogan, Jans-Joshi and Hamilton-Sydney Banach '18.
 
In the win over Monmouth College, Grinnell got singles victories from Fan, Purcell, Jans, Cogan, Hamilton and Minna Montgomery '16.
 
Doubles winners were the teams of Fan-Cogan, Jans-Joshi and Julia Rumley '16-Banach.
 
Grinnell is now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the league. The Pioneers host Illinois College at 9 a.m. Sunday.
