Box ScoreGRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College women's tennis team posted its third shutout in two days Sunday morning, beating Illinois College 9-0 to improve to 3-0 in Midwest Conference play.The Pioneers got singles wins at the 10th Avenue Courts from Judith Fan '19 (6-1, 6-1), Virginia Purcell '17 (4-6, 6-1, 10-8), Lily Hamilton '19 (6-0, 6-0), Minna Montgomery '16 (6-0, 6-0), Julia Rumley '16 (6-0, 6-0) and Shannon Hautzinger '18 (by forfeit).

In doubles, Fan and Amelia Cogan '19 won 8-1 as did Megan Jans '19 and Anushka Joshi '19. Rumley and Sydney Banach '18 won by forfeit.

Grinnell, 4-1 overall, meets Luther College on Wednesday.
