ORLANDO, Fla. – Judith Fan '19 and Amelia Cogan '19 went a perfect 4-for-4 Tuesday to propel the Grinnell College women's tennis team.
 
In a 6-3 loss to Calvin College, Fan won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and Cogan posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 2. The two also worked their way to a 9-8 victory at No. 1 doubles play.

Anushka Joshi '18 also put up a good battle before falling in three sets at No. 3 singles, and Lily Hamilton '19 and Shanaz Daneshdoost '17 fought toe-to-toe with their opponent at No. 3 doubles before losing 9-8.
 
Fan won 6-1, 6-1 in the Pioneers' narrow 5-4 loss to St. Catherine University and Cogan won a marathon 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 decision. Also posting a win in singles was Anushka Joshi '18, who claimed a 6-0, 6-4 decision at No. 3.
 
Fan and Cogan teamed up to win 8-3 in doubles to keep the duo unbeaten on the Pioneers' spring break trip. Hamilton brought her opponent at No. 3 singles to three sets before the St. Catherine player managed to pull out the victory.
 
The 10-4 Pioneers will meet Hamline University on Thursday.
