GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College women's tennis team put a resounding halt to a four-match losing streak to Coe College by sailing past the Kohawks 6-3 Friday.
 
Double winners for the Pioneers were Milica Cvrkota '21 and Ali Hickey '21. They teamed up to win 8-4 at No. 2 doubles, while Cvrkota also won 6-4, 6-4 at the top singles spot and Hickey posted a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
 
The Pioneers also won Nos. 4 through 6 singles with Abby Nielsen '21 (6-2, 6-0), Lily Hamilton '19 (6-1, 6-1) and Sydney Banach '18 (6-0, 6-0).
 
Grinnell is now 2-1, while Coe dipped to 1-2. The Pioneers open Midwest Conference play Saturday when Lake Forest College and Beloit College visit the Grinnell High School Courts.
