WHITEWATER, Wis. – For the third time this season, the Grinnell College women's tennis team will take on Coe College when the two meet in the NCAA Division III National Tennis Tournament hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Friday's event is slated for 3 p.m. Grinnell enters the match ranked 19th in the Central Region and sporting a 19-4 record, the second-most wins in program history. Coe is 15-13 on the season. The winner meets the University of Chicago, the top-ranked team in the Central Region and 10th nationally, on Saturday.

This marks Grinnell's ninth trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2007. Grinnell has beaten Coe both times this season, winning 5-4 in April and 6-3 last September. Singles leaders for Grinnell include
Milica Cvrkota '21 (27-5),
Ali Hickey '21 (24-5),
Abby Nielsen '21 (25-3),
Anushka Joshi '18 (18-7),
Brenda Guan '20 (7-8) and
Sydney Banach '18 (12-2). The doubles lineup consists of Cvrkota-Nielsen (7-4), Hickey-Joshi (4-2) and Banach-Guan (2-3).

Cvrkota holds the school record for singles wins in a season, Nielsen is second and Hickey fifth. Hickey ranks third for overall doubles wins in a season with 24, while Cvrkota and Nielsen are fourth with 23. On the career chart, Joshi is fourth all-time in singles wins with 64 and seventh in doubles victories with 59.

Leading the singles charge for Coe are Haley Resnick (22-12), Lauren French (27-8), Stephanie Bush (13-17), Eliza Sundermann (16-15), Lakyn Boltz (11-17) and Ella White (12-16). Top doubles teams are French-Resnick (25-4), Bush-Sundermann (4-7) and Boltz-White (6-6).
