GRINNELL, Iowa – Another season, another link in the Midwest Conference title chain.

That was the story for the Grinnell College women's tennis team, which Sunday wrapped up the league crown with a 9-0 victory over Lake Forest College.

The title was the Pioneers' 17
th, including 14 in the last 18 years. During this year's title run, the Pioneers didn't surrender a single individual match as they finished with a combined 54-0 record in singles and doubles play.

Grinnell wrapped up MWC action with a 6-0 mark while improving to 8-0 overall. Additionally, Grinnell stretched its consecutive match victory streak against league foes to 21 dating back to the 2018-19 season.

Doubles action was contested at 10
th Avenue Courts Sunday, and Grinnell built a quick 3-0 cushion.
Irene Agusti '24 and
Sabrina Tang '23 posted an 8-1 victory at the top spot, the same score
Erin Jarvis '25 and
Lily Perrin '25 won by at No. 3. In the second slot,
Sophia de los Reyes '23 teamed with
Mira Manchanda '24 to win 8-6.

With the threat of rain looming, singles play was moved into the Bear Center Field House and the Pioneers didn't skip a beat. They won at the No. 1 through 6 spots with Tang (6-1, 6-0), Agusti (6-1, 6-2) Manchanda (6-1, 6-2), de los Reyes (6-0, 6-4), Jarvis (7-6, 6-3) and
Utsah Kalra '25 (6-0, 6-0).

Grinnell will compete in the four-team NCAA Division III National Tournament qualifier Friday in a field consisting of the top four MWC squads. The MWC Singles and Doubles Tournaments will be the following two days.
