LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Unbeaten Lake Forest College grabbed a 28-0 lead by the end of the first period and never looked back in defeating Grinnell College's football team 79-0 Saturday.
 
Hugh Werner '25 had eight tackles to lead the Pioneers, who are 2-4 in the Midwest Conference and 2-5 in all games. Josh Jones '25 added six stops and Chaz Del Mar '22 tallied five. Will Reyes '25 was credited with a sack, Blady Cavazos '25 a forced fumble and Charlie Henehan '24 a fumble recovery.
 
Henry Baird '25 and Grayson Woodhouse '25 had 26 and 20 yards of passing, respectively, and Nick Rhinehart '25 came up with four catches for 21 yards.
 
With the win, Lake Forest improved to 6-0 in the MWC and 7-0 in all games.
 
Grinnell returns to the friendly confines of Rosenbloom Field next Saturday when the University of Chicago visits. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
