MONMOUTH, Ill. - For the second time in as many weeks, the Grinnell College women's tennis team sailed past Monmouth College on Saturday. 
 
With 8-0 doubles sweeps by the teams of Ioanna Giannakou '24-Sabrina Tang '23, Ali Hickey '21-Sophia de los Reyes '23 and Mira Manchanda '24-Irene Agusti '24, the Pioneers got off to a great start on their way to a 9-0 win. 
 
Grinnell completed the victory by sweeping singles play, including 6-0, 6-0 shutouts by Tang at No. 2 and Hickey at No. 4. Winning 6-1, 6-0 were Giannakou at N. 1, de los Reyes at No. 5 and Emma Gaydos '22 at No. 6. Agusti added a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 3. 
 
Grinnell is now 3-0 both in the Midwest Conference South Division and overall, while Monmouth fell to 0-4 in both. The Pioneers finish their regular season at home Sunday when Illinois College visits for a 1:30 p.m. test.
