WHITEWATER, Wis. – Grinnell College's women will venture to Wangerin Courts on Friday to face off against Luther College in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tennis Tournament.
 
Friday's match will take place at 11 a.m., with the winner taking on Kenyon College at 11 a.m. Saturday.
 
Grinnell brings a 6-0 mark into the match and has been led in singles play by Ioanna Giannakou '24 (4-0 record), Sabrina Tang '23 (5-0), Irene Agusti '24 (5-0), Mira Manchanda '24 (5-0), Ali Hickey (3-0), Sophia de los Reyes '23 (4-0) and Emma Gaydos '22 (3-0). Top doubles units include the duos of Giannakou-Tang (6-0), de los Reyes-Hickey (4-0) and Agusti-Manchanda (3-1).
 
Luther, which went a perfect 8-0 in the American Rivers Conference, is 12-4 overall. The Norse topped Wartburg College 5-0 in the league tourney title match to advance to nationals.
 
Leading Luther in singles have been Devon Bourget (10-5), Shelby Cook (11-5), Sofia Sackett (8-4), Natalia Smith (9-5), Kylie Dunning (7-8) and Stephanie Almquist (7-1). Top doubles teams are Bourget-Cook (12-2), Sackett-Smith (4-3) and Almquist-Anna Spencer (5-2).
