MONMOUTH, Ill. – Seven swimmers enjoyed victories Saturday as the Grinnell College women's swimming and diving team cruised to the title at the Monmouth Invite.

Sarah Lopez '26 had four wins on the day, while
Camryn Gonzales '25,
Sophie Juethner '26 and
Kailee Shermak '25 each had a trio of victories.

Grinnell piled up 156 points to easily out-distance runner-up Illinois College's 101 points.

Lopez was first in the 100-yard backstroke and 200 individual medleys in times of 1:03.67 and 2:17.94, respectively. She also swam legs on the winning 200 medley relay (1:55.68) and 400 freestyle relay (3:52.14).

Eva Cuevas '25, Gonzales and Juethner completed the 200 medley relay team, while others on the 400 freestyle relay team were Gonzales, Juethner and
Ciara Vogler '26.

Gonzales won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.62 and Juethner tied Shermak for the 100 freestyle crown in 57.83. Juethner had the rare treat of tying for two event titles, also matching teammate
Aliya Swearngin '25 for first in the 500 freestyle in 5:48.97. Shermak's other victory came in the 200 freestyle in 2:07.13.

Runners-up for Grinnell were Cuevas in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.27) and 200 individual medley (2:22.35),
Olivia Pluska '25 in the 50 freestyle (26.69) and 100 backstroke (1:03.93) and Swearngin in the 100 butterfly (1:06.26).
