Kouchi, Chen collect women's golf All-Region honors

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's women's golf team was rewarded for its success with a pair of Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Central Region selections.

Nina Kouchi '22 earned All-Region honors for the fourth time in her career, while Lauren Chen '24 was named to the squad for the first time.

Kouchi, a three-time St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) individual champion, recorded a stroke average of 75.50 in 2021-22. That ranks fourth all-time at Grinnell.

Chen, the SLIAC individual runner-up last fall, had a stroke average of 77.00 which is 11th all-time at Grinnell.

For the season, Kouchi won three tournament titles and finished in the top 10 in six of seven events. Chen was also an individual champ once and was a top-10 performer in four of seven meets.
