GRINNELL, Iowa – Already enjoying a stellar fall season, Grinnell College's women's golf team added to its great fortune Tuesday with a strong finish at the Historic Triangle Invitational.

The Pioneers scorched the Kingsmill Resort course with a 2-over-par 298 Tuesday to finish strong in the loaded event with a 605. They were third in the 14-team cluster, finishing only behind the top two teams in all of NCAA Division III. Top-ranked Emory edged second-ranked Carnegie Mellon 588-589 for the title.

Grinnell, ranked 22
nd nationally, defeated the Nos. 3, 13, 17 and 20 teams in D-III.

Waverly Yang '28 had a banner day for the Pioneers, shooting a 1-under-par 71 with the aid of six birdies.
Kavya Keshav '26 tallied a 75 and
Emily Lackershire '27 and
Vidushi Keni '26 each shot 76s. Lackershire had three birdies on Tuesday, while Keshav and Keni posted two apiece.

For the tournament, Keshav was Grinnell's to finisher with a 149 to tie for sixth in a field of 79. Yang tied for 10
th at 150 and Lackershire and Keni tied for 22
nd with 153s.

Amanda Zheng of Emory was the individual champ with a 143.
