Daney records PR in 800 at Augustana Twilight meet

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Micaela Daney '22 finished her Grinnell College track and field career in perfect fashion Thursday, running a career-best time at the Augustana College Midwest Twilight meet.

Daney, already ranked 10th all-time in the women's outdoor 800-meter run at Grinnell, maintained that standing while improving on the time with a clocking of 2 minutes, 22.70 seconds. Her previous best time had been 2:22.93.

On the men's side in the 800, Zach Willis '22 finished in 1:57.39, Micah Cantor '24 ran 1:58.46 and Declan O'Reilly wound up with a time of 2:02.06.

In the 1500, Ben Harvey '22 ran 4:10.99.
