DES MOINES, Iowa - Competing against several NCAA Division I athletes, Grinnell College's women's track and field team held its own at the Jim Duncan Invitational Friday.


Juniper Schwartzman '27 won the javelin at Drake Stadium, outperforming six others with a victorious toss of 38.00 meters.

Hannah Roth '27 placed third in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 11 minutes, 21.28 seconds and Morgan Karow '26 took fourth in the 5000 with a time of 17:40.66. Karow's time is the third-fastest in program history, and the best since 2007.

Hannah Roark '26 took 10th in the 1500 in 4:42.95, while Arushi Kharbanda '29 and Talia Harrison '26 were 12th and 14th in the 5000 with times of 18:36.10 and 18:39.69, respectively.
