GC women's golf team off to strong start at St. Kate's Invite

STILLWATER, Minn. - Following a great performance at the NCAA D-III Fall Preview earlier in the week, Grinnell College's women's golfers got off to a solid start at the St. Kate's Fall Invite Saturday.

The Pioneers fired a 317 at Oak Glen Golf Course and are fourth in the 14-team field.

Lauren Chen '24 was Grinnell's top shooter, firing a 4-over-par 76. She is tied for eighth of 83 golfers. Mary Li '25 is tied for 15th with a 78 and Kavya Keshav '26 and Parker Perry '24 added 79s to tie for 19th. Next in line for Grinnell was Sara Meneses '26 with an 84.

Sydney Brandt of host St. Catherine University is the leader at 69 and has guided her squad to the team lead at 293. The meet concludes Sunday.
