Grinnell women's swimming and diving team works past Luther

DECORAH, Iowa - Grinnell College's women's swimming and diving team wrapped up a successful weekend with a 162-135 dual victory Saturday afternoon at Luther College.

Molly Ryan '27 and Sarah Lopez '26 each had four event victories for the Pioneers. Lopez won the 100-yard butterfly in 1 minute, .55 seconds, 200 butterfly in 2:15.21 and 200 individual medley in 2:16.87. The 100 butterfly time ranks 18th in program history.

Ryan added individual wins in the 100 and 200 backstrokes with times of 1:00.10 and 2:12.07, clockings that rank fifth and eighth in program history, respectively.

Both Ryan and Lopez swam on the 200 medley relay unit that won in 1:53.82. Eva Cuevas '25 and Ciara Vogler '26 completed the medley relay quartet, while Ryan, Vogler, Ava Rodriguez '27 and Samantha Cook '27 won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:43.44.

Other champs were Cuevas in the 200 breaststroke (2:34.79) and Vogler in the 100 freestyle (56.13).

Grinnell's runners-up were Regan Stambaugh '26 in the 1000 freestyle (11:54.25), Cook in the 200 freestyle (2:01.62) and 100 freestyle (56.55), Olivia Pluska '25 in the 100 backstroke (1:03.56), Cuevas in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.93) and 200 individual medley (2:21.31), Natasha Zettler '27 in the 200 butterfly (2:21.97), Vogler in the 50 freestyle (25.72) and Genevieve Martinez '24 in the 200 breaststroke (2:42.53).

Grinnell is at the Monmouth Fighting Scot Invite next Saturday.
