Grinnell women's swimming and diving team enjoys successful outing at own mini-invite

GRINNELL, Iowa - With Ciara Vogler '26 leading the way, the Grinnell College women's swimming and diving team had a great tuneup for the upcoming Midwest Conference Championships.

Vogler swam to four event titles at Saturday's Grinnell Mini-Invite contested at Russell K. Osgood Pool, winning the 50-yard freestyle (25.28), 100 butterfly (1:01.55), 100 individual medley (1:03.94) plus helping the 200 medley relay team to victory (1:55.71).

Rounding out the medley relay team were Olivia Klein '24, November Brown '23 and Mary Calhoun '24.

Other individual champs for Grinnell were Greta Dunn '26 in the 500 freestyle (5:33.80), Andi Fox '23 in the 200 individual medley (2:21.96), Annika Alsleben '23 in the 400 individual medley (5:10.24), Kailee Shermak '25 in the 200 freestyle (2:03.63), Dorothy Anna Russell '24 in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.62), Sophie Juethner '26 in the 100 backstroke (1:03.41), Camryn Gonzales '25 in the 100 freestyle (56.61), Eva Cuevas '25 in the 200 backstroke (2:22.10), Sarah Lopez '26 in the 200 butterfly (2:16.29) and Jane Markovitz '26 in 1-meter diving (154.50) and 3-meter diving (161.10).

Dunn, Fox, Gonzales and Genevieve Martinez '24 combined to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:46.93.

The MWC meet will be at Grinnell in two weekends.
