GC women's student-athletes recognized at Honor G Ceremony

GRINNELL, Iowa - Five Grinnell College women's senior student-athletes were recognized Saturday afternoon during the annual Honor G Ceremony at Herrick Chapel.

Senior Athlete of the Year Awards went to Amanda Ramirez '23 (softball), Payton Lowrey '23 (volleyball), Emma Schaefer '23 (cross country/track and field) and Sabrina Tang '23 (tennis). The Athlete of the Year Awards are selected by Grinnell's head coaches and sports information director.

The Honor G Scholastic Award, which goes to the athlete who achieved the highest cumulative grade point average, participated in her sport every year on campus and lettered at least once, went to Emma Nelson '23 (softball).

The Service Award, given to the athlete to receive the most letters over the course of her college career, was presented to Schaefer. She won 11 letters during her time at Grinnell.
