WAVERLY, Iowa – Grinnell College's cross country teams have already enjoyed successful campaigns, and will look to keep the good times going when they compete in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships Saturday.

The 8-kilometer men's race at The Max Championship Cross Country Course begins at 11 a.m., followed by the women's 6-kilometer event at noon.

Team champions from each of the 10 regionals, plus 22 at-large qualifiers, advance to the NCAA D-III National Championships. Additionally, the top seven individuals in each region not on a qualifying team advance. At-large team qualifiers will be determined Sunday.

At the recent Midwest Conference Championships,
Hannah Roark '26 led the Pioneer women to the team title with a third-place finish.
Morgan Karow '26 was next in line for Grinnell in fifth place, while
Sindri Bonner '28 was sixth.

On the men's side, Grinnell was second behind the efforts of
Luke Robinson '26,
Jack Lakin '29 and
Ben Abelow '28 who were eighth, ninth and 10
th, respectively.

The Pioneer men are ranked 10
th in the Midwest Region. Wartburg is ranked first, followed by University of Chicago, North Central (Ill.), Washington (Mo.), Loras, Central, Simpson, Wheaton and Nebraska Wesleyan.

Grinnell's women are ranked sixth in the Midwest Region behind the University of Chicago, Washington (Mo.), Wartburg, Central and Loras. Following the Pioneers are Wheaton (Ill.), Cornell, Aurora and Illinois Wesleyan.
