Sam Beck '27 led the way for Grinnell College's men's cross country team at Friday afternoon's Saga Cup hosted by Luther College.

Beck ran the 8-kilometer race in 27 minutes, 43.6 seconds to finish 46
th place. He was followed by
Cayden Smith '29 (28:24.7),
Ryan Hill '27 (28:38.8),
Aidan Michaelson '28 (28:39.7) and
Justin Lee '28 (28:45.2).

James Snyder '26 was 63
rd in 29:20.3 and
Alex Pollock '27 ran 29:44.4 to place 66
th.
The Pioneers were fourth in the team standings with 116 points. Wartburg College was the champ with 15 and had the individual winner in Gavin Grunhovd, who finished in 25:38.5.

Grinnell will compete at the NCAA Division III Regional Championships next Saturday in Waverly.
