Grinnell women's basketball team returning to Midwest Conference Tournament

Pioneers will be making first trip to event since 2017

GRINNELL, Iowa – After enjoying a phenomenal regular season which concludes next weekend, the Grinnell College women's basketball team has earned its just reward – a trip to the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament.

Though the Pioneers were idle Saturday, other results from around the conference allowed them to qualify for the tourney. The Pioneers are 16-7 overall, their highest victory total in 21 seasons, and have the most MWC wins for the program since 2017.

Grinnell will be making its first trip to the MWC Tournament since 2017. The event is slated for Feb. 28 and March 1 at the site of the regular-season champion, which is shaping up to either be Ripon College or Lawrence University.
