GRINNELL, Iowa - Following a pair of impressive performances, Grinnell College's Nikki Ware '25 has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Performer of the Week.
 
The hot-shooting Ware, a guard from Long Grove, Ill. (Adlai E. Stevenson), was key to Grinnell pulling off two conference victories. She erupted for a career-high 35 points in an 80-70 win over Knox College to complete the regular-season sweep. Ware was 7-of-11 from 3-point land, with the trey total ranking fourth in program history. Additionally, she grabbed a career-best eight rebounds.
 
Ware followed with a 15-point, five-assist performance in a 65-59 victory over Illinois College. On Grinnell's career list, Ware ranks 14^th in points scored with 917 and is also among the leaders in 3-pointers, free throws, assists and steals.
 
The MWC Men's Performer of the Week award went to Zay Brown of Monmouth College.
